"You could have five or ten 30-foot concrete walls and if there is no electronic security or surveillance they will get past every one of those", said Cameron owner of Border Wall Builders LLC.
The wall must be made of solid concrete or a see-through structure for some areas.
We now have an idea of what President Trump's "big, handsome wall" is going to look like after US Customs and Border Protection released two requests for prototypes Friday night, ABC News reports.
President Donald Trump's promise for a wall along the U.S. -Mexico border was spelled out further late Friday, in a pair of design requests from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The government will award a contract based on 30 foot-wide sample walls that are to be built in San Diego. The current fencing of mixed construction, including 15-foot steel posts set inches apart that are created to keep people from crossing and shorter posts that are meant to block cars.
The specifications leave almost all of the design work to interested bidders, who now have about two weeks to develop and submit their plans, known as proposals. It hinted that bidding may be reopened in the future, saying the current process "is not intended as the vehicle for the procurement of the total wall solution for the border with Mexico". The government is asking for a 9-meter-high concrete barrier, extending 2 meters underground, built to be "physically imposing" and capable of resisting nearly any attack, "by sledgehammer, auto jack, pickaxe, chisel, battery-operated impact tools, battery-operated cutting tools [or] oxy/acetylene torch". The proposed designs should ideally create a 30-foot wall, though the department will consider barriers as small as 18 feet, Reuters reports.
The Trump border wall, of course, is a critical aspect of the president's plan to stop people entering the United States illegally and/or without documentation. He also said this would include $2.6 billion for a border wall but that a recent MIT Technology Review estimates the border wall could cost close to $40 billion.
