The IDF, in turn, said on Friday that it used the advanced Arrow missile defense system to shoot down a Syrian anti-aircraft missile that was sacked at an Israeli jet.
Israel F-15 fighter jets have managed to escape salvo of ground-to-air missiles from Pro-Assad forces Friday morning after having struck several targets inside Syria.
"Several anti-aircraft missiles were launched from Syria following the mission and IDF [Israel Defence Force] Aerial Defence Systems intercepted one of the missiles", the Israeli military said.

Overnight, March 17, IAF aircrafts [sic] targeted many targets in Syria.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Hezbollah leader said that the United Nations could not be trusted to defend the Arabs' rights in the wake of the resignation of a UN official for refusing to withdraw a damning report against Israel.
