BBC America releases new 'Doctor Who' Season 10 trailer

The TV series suffered a decrease in ratings recently, but Capaldi said that his last season will refresh the series in ways that will remind the audience that the Doctor is alien, no matter how human he looks and sometimes acts. Longtime fans will see new enemies and old characters like Missy, the Daleks, and the Mondasian Cybermen. Series 10 stars Peter Capaldi as "The Doctor" and Pearl Mackie as "Bill".

Several previous Doctors have come out in support of the idea that the next Doctor is a woman or person of colour - after over 50 years of the role being played by white males.

His final scenes will air at Christmas, while the upcoming series will also be the last with lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, at the helm, with "Broadchurch" showrunner Chris Chibnall taking over next year.

In a split second clip, it's been confirmed that Michelle Gomez will also be coming back to cause trouble as the Doctor's nemesis The Master - now known as Missy after a female regeneration.

Doctor Who fans are pretty sure they know what they'll be doing on April 15th now that the new trailer for season 10 has finally dropped.

Tickets for the Doctor Who season 10 premiere screenings are on sale now at the official Fathom Events website. They'll be joined by Matt Lucas' Nardole, who previously only appeared in the show's Christmas specials.

Season 10 premieres Saturday, April 15 at 9/8c on BBC America.
