There's a new Boost Mode for PlayStation 4 ProSony PlayStation 4 Pro Review Sony PlayStation 4 Pro Review Is the PS4 Pro such a big improvement that it's worth upgrading, or just a failed experiment? Remote Play allows you to play PS4 games from your PC, but voice communication wasn't possible. This would be for instances where you're logged in to PSN through the PlayStation App or the PlayStation Messages app.

"This can provide a noticeable frame rate boost to some games with variable frame rates, and can provide frame rate stability for games that are programmed to run at 30 Hz or 60 Hz", Sony explained. If you get an invitation to a party, you can send a quick reply saying "I'll join later", or "Sorry, I can't join". For that reason, Sony lets you toggle Boost Mode at will.

On the Communities app, you can now easily check the PSN service status under Settings View Status of PSN Services.

Keep in mind that Boost Mode is not guaranteed to work with all titles. There's always the possibility that enabling it could introduce oddball bugs, but most of the reports we've seen have been overwhelmingly positive.
