The 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover, featuring model Kate Upton's third cover appearance, hit the internet today - and everyone's got bikinis on the brain.
Last week there had been rumors that other models would share the SI cover duties - among them 63-year-old Christie Brinkley and her two daughters. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is on stands February 15.
"I want people to come away with the fact that it's okay to be comfortable in your body", she says.
She is engaged to Detroit Tiger star pitcher and Goochland native Justin Verlander. Tuesday night that she got the call saying she had scored the cover only one day prior to the magazine's reveal.
"I was very excited when MJ [Day, Swimsuit Issue editor] asked me to be back in the issue", she told Sports Illustrated. Published every year since 1964, when Babette March appeared on the first ever cover, the SI Swim issue is something that everyone looks forward to. Kate doesn't waste a moment in her drive to be the best, and doesn't give herself a break in pursuing perfection.

A year ago things got interesting when SI named three different cover models.
Upton has been on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue twice before, in 2012 and 2013.
